XENOPHOBIA ESSAY - RESEARCH FOR FINAL MAJOR PROJECT

Our final year major design projects had to target a current issue. The issue that I chose to look into was Xenophobia.

In a world that is increasingly becoming more diverse and multicultural due to international migration, it is a necessity to accept and embrace those that are different to us. However, even in today's society, over 150 million people that are living as refugees or migrants are extremely susceptible to xenophobia, discrimination, and racism. 

My essay looks into what xenophobia is, why diversity is so important and ways in which design can be used to reduce xenophobic attitudes.
