WHAT I HAVE BEEN UP TO...

My travels around South East Asia...

In January 2020 I got on a plane and flew to Bangkok, Thailand to start my adventure.

When I completed my degree I did one week work experience at a creative company called  SomeBrightSpark in Leicester, after this I worked two jobs (as a waitress at a hotel and as a barista at a local cafe) putting in many hours to fund my travels.

I managed to reach my target travel fund and had planned to travel around Asia for around 4-6 months. However, unfortunately due to Covid-19 I had to return after two months. Even though I had to come home early I had the most amazing time and saw some really beautiful things.

Whilst in Asia I travelled around Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia. These countries are truly beautiful.

Please feel free to look through some of the pictures I took whilst I was away...

The below images were taken at Chiang Mai's Flower Festival (Thailand). This was such a lovely place to visit, it was really magical. The exterior design showcased was really inspiring!

When I was staying in Chiang Mai, I could not resist a day trip up north to Chaing Rai where the white temple is located (Wat Rong Khunn). It was a surreal experience visiting the white temple, the details on the building were so intricate and stunning. See images below.

I visited a popup exhibition whilst in Chaing Mai (One Love). I thought this was a great exhibition, the different components such as the performance stage, photo opportunities, seating and artwork made it a really interesting space that had a really romantic vibe.

I experienced so many amazing things whilst travelling, there is no way I would be able to show all of them.

The intricacy of the detailing that is in the architecture of many buildings (especially religious) is out of this world, an example of this is the Grand palace in Bangkok.

I also enjoyed learning about the history of the war in Vietnam, I went to many exhibitions and experiences where I was able to gain a deeper understanding of what events took place. I even visited the cu chi tunnels!

I have added some general images below from my travels...
